Established in 1979, Torrens Valley Soccer Club has been running for over 40 years.
We are a small grassroots Club located in Birdwood. We have junior teams ranging from the Under 7 development squad to Under 17.
We are associated with the Adelaide Hills Junior Football Association (AHJFA). Our Club thanks and supports the AHJFA in their endeavour to promote and foster the sport of soccer in and around the Adelaide Hills. We have an AHJFA Representative from our Club which sits on the AHJFA Committee to assist in the running of the AHJFA and provide support for our Club.
The Club has run continuously with the wonderful support of all our volunteers from the committee, coaches, team managers, canteen staff, assistant referees, ground stewards and of course all the players and parents. All our Coaches and Team Managers are volunteers and undertake the appropriate Child Safety and coaching courses and qualifications.
Our Club area is licensed from the Birdwood Parks Sporting Committee, we are grateful for their support and help throughout the season. A strong partnership with the Birdwood Parks allows us to continue developing our Club and facilities for our members and the wider communities benefit. Birdwood Parks also incorporate the sporting and recreational facilities used by the Football, Netball, Cricket, Tennis Club and Torrens Valley Little Athletics Club.

Our Objectives

Our committee, coaches and team managers all work tirelessly throughout the season to bring our love and passion for the game of soccer to the community.
In short, our main objectives are:

• To play, promote and foster the game of soccer.
• To provide safe and appropriate facilities to play soccer.
• To provide appropriate training, support and recognition for volunteers of the Club.
• To acknowledge the participation and successes of all players associated with the Club, including the presentation of special achievement awards.
• To establish, manage and raise funds for the benefit of players and the Club.
